Lay those on one line and the reading is plain. Today's open stretch runs from 3:47 PM to sunset at 7:08 PM. Brahma Muhurat, 4:10 AM to 4:58 AM, sits ahead of everything and stays clear as always. Rohini Until Late Afternoon
The Moon holds Rohini, Chandra's own favourite star, until 4:51 PM, then crosses into Mrigashira. Rohini is settled and fertile. Mrigashira belongs to Soma and is the searching star, the deer's head turned toward a scent.
So the afternoon that finally opens is also the one where the Moon starts looking for something. Those few hours are good for walking, reading, or working out what a plan actually needs before you commit to it.
Tonight Sets Up Tomorrow's Fast
Krishna Ekadashi begins at 1:59 PM today and is still running at tomorrow's sunrise, so the vrat falls on Sunday 9 August.
Households that keep it take one light meal on Dashami and stop before sunset, leaving grain out from that evening on. This is living tradition rather than a rule from a text we hold, so keep the form your family keeps.
