What does this monthly Tithi Calendar show?+
Naksham shows the full Hindu Panchang for every day of the month. Each day shows its Tithi (lunar day), Nakshatra (lunar mansion), Yoga, Karana, Paksha (fortnight), and moon phase. You also see sunrise and sunset times. Festivals and vrats are flagged. Tap any day to see the full Panchang detail.
How do I move to a different month?+
Use the Previous and Next month arrows at the top. You can also change the URL. For example, /astrohub/vedic/tithi-calendar/2026/06 shows June 2026. Naksham covers any month from 1900 to 2100.
Are the Tithi dates accurate for my city?+
Naksham gives accurate output within 1 to 2 minutes for India locations. We use the NOAA solar position model and Lahiri ayanamsa (sidereal correction). We anchor each tithi to your local sunrise. This is the Suryodaya Tithi rule, per Drik Panchang and Rashtriya Panchang convention. Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, and Karana names stay the same across India. Sunrise and sunset shift with your city. Set your city in the location box for the best output.
What festivals are shown in this calendar?+
Naksham marks Hindu festivals, Ekadashi vrats, Purnima, Amavasya, and other key Tithi-based days. Festivals follow a Tithi plus Chandra masa (lunar month) rule. Each festival is colour-coded. Saffron is for major festivals. Green is for Ekadashi and vrats. Gold is for Purnima.
Which festivals does Naksham auto-detect?+
The list covers Vasant Panchami, Maha Shivaratri, Holi, Ram Navami, Akshaya Tritiya, Vat Savitri, Guru Purnima, Raksha Bandhan, Krishna Janmashtami, Hartalika Teej, Ganesh Chaturthi, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Mahalaya, Vijayadashami, Karva Chauth, Dhanteras, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj, and Devuthani Ekadashi. Vrats include all 24 Ekadashis (with Vaikuntha, Mokshada, Devuthani, Nirjala by name), Sankashti and Angarki Sankashti, plus Soma, Bhaum, and Shani Pradosh.
Can I use this calendar for past years or future planning?+
Yes. The Naksham engine covers dates from 1900 to 2100. You can look up old dates. When was Diwali in 2010? You can plan ahead too. When is the next Ekadashi in 2027? Past and future months are computed on demand and cached.
How is this different from the main Tithi Calendar page?+
The main Tithi Calendar page always shows the current month. It updates each day. This archive page shows a set month from the URL (for example, /2026/03 for March 2026). It updates each day too. Archive pages are best for bookmarks, sharing, and SEO. Each month has its own URL and metadata.
