The Taittiriya Upanishad names five elements, from ether down to earth. A Panchatatva (five-element) attar carries one of them as a single note. Each bottle holds one classical botanical, distilled pure, nothing blended in. You wear the element whose nature you want close all day.
Thousands of petals in every bottle. The note moves from dewy and green to honeyed depth to velvet warmth.
Oil based, not alcohol based. The attar bonds with your body chemistry and releases slowly. People notice when they lean close.
Slow-distilled in copper stills the traditional way. No synthetics, no aroma chemicals, no alcohol. What touches your skin is plant-derived.
The Jala (Water) attar of the Panchatatva line. Five single notes in the Taittiriya order, collectible as a set of five.
Top Notes
Fresh-cut damask rose, dewy and green
Heart
Honeyed deep rose, the temple garland
Base
Velvet rose warmth, soft and lasting
Most attars are blends of many scents. Only damask rose petals go into the still. The vapour condenses into sandalwood oil, the classical base oil for attar. Nothing synthetic, ever.
Oil-based fragrance bonds with your body chemistry and releases slowly through the day. Skin-intimate, so people notice when they lean close. That is real longevity.
The Taittiriya Upanishad names five elements behind all things. Jala (Water) follows Agni, the element of feeling and flow. The rose is its fragrance in the Panchatatva line. This is Attar IV of V.
Every batch passes AstroGrade(TM) checks before dispatch. We verify scent trueness, fill level, and rollerball feed by hand. 10 ml amber glass with a stainless steel rollerball.
Jala (Water) · Shukra (Venus)
Wear it to please Shukra and draw love and beauty close.
Wear it on a date, at a wedding, and on Friday, the day of Shukra.
Shukra governs the water element, per Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra Ch. 3. Shukra is the graha of love and beauty.
Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh
The Deg Bhapka Method
No steel tanks. No shortcuts. Copper stills, a wood fire, and a person who watches it. Kannauj has distilled perfume this way for generations. It is why the town is called India's perfume capital.
Wood burns in a brick furnace under a copper still called the deg. There is no thermometer here. The distiller reads the heat by hand and by sound, then feeds the fire to hold it steady.
Rose petals are picked before sunrise, while the oil in them is richest, and loaded with water. The lid is then pressed shut with a rope of wet clay. It is worked by hand until nothing can escape. Every bit of scent has to stay inside.
Apply right after your morning shower, when pores are open and skin is warm. Pure attar absorbs deeper on clean skin.
Inner wrists, behind the ears, base of the throat. Body heat activates the oil. Press wrists together gently to open the scent.
One note evolves on skin. Dewy petals open, honeyed rose settles in, then velvet warmth lingers into evening. Up to 16 hours.
Pure attar bonds with your skin and evolves through the day. Opening notes, then heart, then a warm base that lingers into evening.
Om Vam Namah (ॐ वं नमः)
Recite once per application point. Together, five pulse points and five recitations complete your daily practice.
Every batch checked for scent, safety, and seal before dispatch.
What We Check Every Batch
A hollow bamboo pipe carries the scented vapour into a copper receiver called the bhapka. The bhapka sits cooling in a water tank. Inside it, the vapour condenses into sandalwood oil, the classical base oil for attar. Alcohol is never part of the process.
One charge runs four to five hours. A full attar takes many days of them. The last of the water is drawn off, and the oil is left to settle. Slow is not a style choice here. It is the only way this works.
India's Ministry of MSME records Deg Bhapka as the traditional method of the Kannauj perfume cluster. Every batch is quality checked before dispatch under AstroGrade™.
