Drik Panchang has earned a quiet respect over the years. It is one of the most used Hindu panchang sites in India. The team behind it has built a clean, fast, and wide panchang engine. Naksham's view is that its panchang and muhurat work is best-in-class.

Here is what Drik Panchang does very well.

• Panchang depth across cities. You can pick any Indian city. You get tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, and vaar for each day. The data is clean and easy to read. This is the feature Drik Panchang is famous for.
• Wedding muhurat and ritual timing. The shubh muhurat output is deep. You get exact start and end times. You get choghadiya windows. Many priests use this data to pick the right hour for a wedding, upanayana, or griha pravesh.
• Drik-siddha ephemeris. The site uses the Drik-siddha school. This is the modern, Swiss-ephemeris based method. It is what most working Vedic astrologers and priests rely on today.
• Festival and vrat calendars. Every major Hindu festival shows up with the right date by location. Sankashti, Ekadashi, Pradosh, Amavasya, Purnima, all clean and easy to find.
• Ritual reference used by priests. Family priests across India keep the site open in a browser tab. When they need a muhurat, this is often the first place they check.

For all of the above, Drik Panchang earns its place in the Vedic tool set. Naksham does not try to match this depth on panchang. We respect its role and point our own users to it when they need muhurat timing.

Many users ask if the two tools will give the same Ashtakoota score. The short answer is yes, most of the time. Both tools use the Drik-siddha school. Both use a modern Swiss-type ephemeris. Both default to the Lahiri ayanamsa.

Small gaps can show up. The reason is often the atmakaraka rule or the subtle handling of the Varna and Yoni koota. Classical texts allow a few valid readings for these. This is why both tools can call the same two charts a 24-point match, and both can be right. The planet positions are the same. The scoring method is the same. The small differences live in edge cases only.
