Tulsi is a living form of Goddess Lakshmi — wearing it is continuous worship.
Feather-light and naturally fragrant — devotion you wear, not just practise.
Each bead is a seed of Vrindavan's holiest plant, carrying ancient sanctity.
108 represents the complete cycle of Vedic cosmology: 12 rashis multiplied by 9 grahas, 108 Upanishads, 108 Divya Desams (sacred Vishnu temples), and 108 names in Vishnu's Ashtottara Shatanamavali. Each completed round of the Tulsi mala is an offering that touches every corner of the sacred universe.
Sit facing east or north, ideally at twilight. Hold the mala on your middle finger and chant Om Namo Narayanaya — one bead per mantra, pulling with your thumb. Complete all 108 beads without crossing the Sumeru. End by touching the mala to your forehead and heart.
Chant Om Namo Narayanaya — one recitation per bead, 108 total per round. Hold the mala in your right hand, draped over the middle finger. Use the thumb to advance beads toward you. The index finger must not touch the beads. Do not cross the Sumeru bead; flip and reverse direction for additional rounds. The Hare Krishna Maha Mantra is an equally powerful alternative for Tulsi japa.
Tulsi is considered a direct manifestation of Goddess Lakshmi (Vrinda Devi) who incarnated as a plant so that devotees of all backgrounds could access divine grace. The Padma Purana declares that wherever Tulsi grows, that place becomes a tirtha. The Hari Bhakti Vilasa states that wearing Tulsi beads transforms every act into worship of Vishnu.
