Frequently Asked Questions
What does this monthly Tithi Calendar show?
This page displays the complete Hindu Panchang for every day of the selected month. Each day shows its Tithi (lunar day), Nakshatra (lunar mansion), Yoga, Karana, Paksha (fortnight), moon phase with illumination percentage, sunrise/sunset times, and any festivals or Vrats. You can click any day to see the full Panchang details.
How do I navigate to a different month?
Use the Previous and Next month arrows at the top of the calendar to move between months. You can also change the URL directly — for example, /tools/tithi-calendar/2026/06 will show June 2026. The calendar supports any month from 1900 to 2100.
Are the Tithi dates accurate for my city?
The Tithis, Nakshatras, Yogas, and Karanas are computed using precise Vedic calculations following the traditional Indian astronomical standard — the same standard used by the Rashtriya Panchang of India. These are identical across all of India. Sunrise and sunset times default to Delhi but can be changed to your city using the location selector.
What festivals are shown in this calendar?
The calendar automatically detects Hindu festivals, Ekadashi Vrats, Purnima, Amavasya, and other significant Tithi-based observances. Festivals are determined by traditional rules combining Tithi, Paksha, and Vedic month (Masa). Each festival is color-coded by type: saffron for major festivals, green for Ekadashi/Vrats, and gold for Purnima.
Can I use this calendar for past years or future planning?
Yes. The computation engine supports dates from 1900 to 2100 with pinpoint accuracy. You can look up historical dates (when was Diwali in 2010?) or plan ahead (when is the next Ekadashi in 2027?). Past and future months are computed on-demand and cached.
How is this different from the main Tithi Calendar page?
The main Tithi Calendar page always shows the current month and updates hourly. This archive page shows a specific month identified by the URL (e.g., /2026/03 for March 2026) and updates daily. Archive pages are ideal for bookmarking specific months, sharing links, and SEO — each month has its own unique URL and metadata.
